Liam leads the Infrastructure and Engineering team within the Energy Systems Catapult (ESC). This comprises the ESC’s energy sector specialists and provides impartial engineering and technical expertise across the core parts of the emerging and future energy system.
Prior to joining the ESC Liam has developed technology and innovation strategies and led research and development efforts in the energy, construction and automotive industries.
Liam’s key areas of specialism include: innovation, transport decarbonisation, energy storage and energy networks, smart energy systems, building design and modelling, sustainability and the influences between new technology and people.
Exploring the potential for transport to be more integrated into the future energy system, underpinned by a drive towards net zero. If this is to happen, how important might it be, what are the areas it will depend on and what progress has been made?
