‘This is a solution looking for a problem!’ A very common statement in the world of autonomous vehicles as the developments so far have been largely technology driven; missing the societal views of: those people who will actually use these vehicles, the bystanders who will interact with them and the organisations who will one day operate them. At Stagecoach we have been exploring exactly that with a focus on full sized buses. Join us as we share human-centred insights from our research, present a Vision from the customer experience riding on an autonomous bus, and outline the step change in service passengers can expect from our ground breaking CAV Forth service - the UK's first deployment of a computer driven bus in 'real world' operation launching later in 2020 across the iconic Forth Road Bridge in Scotland.
