The future of traffic management in an autonomous world

The UK has some of the most advanced traffic control systems in the world, capable of adapting quickly to traffic conditions either locally, or at a city region level. These systems currently model traffic patterns and optimise the traffic control timings, but how will this change in a connected autonomous world? This presentation explores the changing priorities and attitudes towards traffic control as well as new sources of much richer data and how traffic control systems might need to evolve in the future.
