‘This is a solution looking for a problem!’ - A very common statement in the world of autonomous vehicles. Perhaps, because many of the developments and trials have been largely technology-driven; missing the societal views of those people who will pay to travel on these services, the bystanders who will interact with them and the organisations who will operate them. At Stagecoach we have been exploring just this as we work toward launching the UK's first commercial autonomous bus service. Join us as we share human-centred insights from our research and present how passengers will experience riding on our CAV Forth service launching in 2021 across the iconic Forth Road Bridge in Scotland.
