  • ACES Tools and Technologies

Autonomous, connected, electric and shared – an update on the latest technology developments, helping to drive the industry forward. Sensors, AI, Connectivity, Mapping, Software, Data Management, AI, Deep Machine Learning, Blockchain, GIS, Ticketing/Payments, Safety, Simulation and Testing will be covered.
  • Implementing TaaS, Smart Cities, Policy

The focus is beginning to move away from the high-level strategy to the real life implementation and practical - will we see CAVs and future mobility in the time lines which are being suggested? Cities are becoming smart and we evaluate how this will impact the implementation of TaaS. Finally, we dive into the planning, policy and legislation changes which are a must to realise the future of mobility.
  • Electrification, Energy, Infrastructure, Fleets

EVs are starting to attract the mass market with an ever-increasing choice of vehicles becoming available. Energy and battery technology is developing at a rapid pace, bringing down the price of EVs and making them much more affordable. The changes needed to infrastructure to support the increase in EVs is becoming clearer and we will explore how this can be achieved. Fleets and telematics will be explored.
  • Inclusive/Shared/Micro-Mobility

Future Mobility must be inclusive and shared, catering for the elderly, disabled and young children. Shared mobility is the shared use of a vehicle, motorcycle, scooter, bicycle, or other travel mode. Shared mobility provides users with short-term access to one of these modes of travel as they are needed. For future mobility to be sustainable and help to ease the negative effects on the environment transportation can bring, shared mobility is a must. The final piece of the jigsaw is micro-mobility and last mile mobility – with an ever-increasing number of options, micro-mobility is becoming a reality to help decrease congestion in our over crowded cities.
  • Cyber Security

As vehicles get smarter, cyber security in the automotive industry is becoming an increasing concern. Whether we’re turning cars into Wi-Fi connected hotspots or equipping them with millions of lines of code to create fully autonomous vehicles, cars are more vulnerable than ever to hacking and data theft. We look at cyber security solutions for the future mobility industry.
  • Data Management

One of the key topics within the Connected Autonomous Vehicles and Future Mobility industry right now is ‘Data: How to process and manage additional terabytes of data in a new mobility ecosystem?’ Autonomous driving is thought to require one gigabyte of sensor data per minute to be processed in real time. Future system architectures must integrate all the on-board sensor systems and securely process, manage and store this huge amount of information. The industry is looking for solutions for the storage and processing of data, during the research, development, testing and implementation of future mobility solutions. The topic will look at the solutions which can help the industry with the mass amounts of data that a new mobility ecosystem will generate.
  • Business Models

It may be over 100 years old, but the auto industry is being redrawn, recrafted and reborn before our eyes. Technology-driven trends will revolutionise how industry players respond to changing consumer behaviour, develop partnerships, and drive transformational change. Traditional car manufacturers and auto suppliers will have to adapt, otherwise there is a strong danger they will fall by the wayside, as many traditional phone companies did when the smartphone hit the market. We will look to explore future mobility trends and how car manufacturers and auto suppliers will have to adapt to make sure they still have a place in the new transport revolution. New business models are being created!
